In Revealing Clip, Talarico Described Bible Stories for Kids as ‘Insidious’ ‘Indoctrination’

In a revealing interview clip, Texas Democrat Senate candidate James Talarico described teaching Bible stories to kindergartners as “immoral” “indoctrination” and “propaganda.” While Talarico loves to pretend he is a devout Christian, this clip shows his true colors — probably rainbow colors — and exposes how Democrats might adopt a veneer of Christianity but always push anti-Christian policies.

In an August 2025 interview with the Center for American Progress that has attracted renewed scrutiny amid Talarico’s Senate run, the Democrat politician exclaimed, “One that is maybe the most insidious, it was a new state curriculum that that would teach Christian Bible stories as historical fact, as the only truth to our youngest students. And I mean kindergarten, first graders. These are kids who aren't able to — to think for themselves yet. They haven't formed their own worldviews and to push propaganda, to push indoctrination on those youngest students, is deeply immoral.”

Talarico has made many shocking religious statements such as claiming that Islam shaped his faith as much as Christianity, quoting a Gnostic “gospel” to claim that Jesus was a feminist who supported transgender ideology, and asserting that God is “non-binary.” He certainly is not devoutly Muslim or Gnostic, but I think he is attracted to those false religions precisely because he really hates true Christianity. He only cites Jesus or the Bible to twist the word of God to his purposes, and when he cannot force the Bible to support his thesis, he turns to another religion instead.

It is not exactly a new phenomenon for Democrats to misuse Christianity in order to justify their most pernicious policies. Democrat slaveowners spent decades claiming that it was God‘s will that they own and abuse people with darker skin, yet Frederick Douglass was one of many slaves who got in trouble for reading and teaching the Bible. Slaveowners would even quote the Bible to slaves while physically torturing them. That said, I do think that as the Democrat Party grew increasingly terroristic, Islamist, sexually perverted, secular, and socialist, it likewise became more openly hostile to Christianity.

There are some Democrats who still adopt the veneer of devout Christianity, or who wave around Bibles, rosaries, and crosses during certain elections. Overall, however, Dems openly attack and belittle Christians who actually try to live their faith. The lie that “white Christian nationalism” is the greatest domestic threat to America has been circulating in leftist media for years. Top Democrat politicians (especially the Biden administration) refuse to recognize individuals’ or organizations’ religious exemptions from abortion, contraception, transgenderism, or vaccines.

Talarico is actually unusually vocal among Dems about his professed Christianity. That is why the interview clip above is so important. Talarico not only seemed to indicate that he does not at all believe the Bible is historical fact, but he thinks it is dangerous to teach biblical stories to young children precisely because they are in their formative years. He is very afraid of Scripture providing the basis for their worldview. The only reason for that is that Talarico really knows the Bible does not support all of the vile policies he loves most, including transgender ideology, homosexuality, abortion, child grooming, and forced wealth redistribution. That is why he doesn’t want little children to learn from the Word of God, because he prefers them to learn from woke ideology.
