Gavin Newsom's term as California's governor ends in January, and he hopes to go to higher office (if Kamala lets him), preferably one with even less accountability than he's already enjoyed under the pliant universities, think tanks, media, and opposing political parties ignoring his catastrophic time in office.
Newsom has perfected the art of being the Master of Disaster with near-zero accountability.
Like so many Democrats, Newsom takes for granted his state's beauty, blessings, and business and uses them like one would flip a switch, turn a key, or open a faucet. He's politically commoditized California's assets and beauty, arrogated that power, and redistributed the blessing as if he were their owner and progenitor.
He is not so much the keeper of the flame as he is the fire setter.
Who has towns burn up (Pacific Palisades, Altadena, and parts of Malibu) on his watch and suffers only a transitory wisp of political blowback after all? That is a guy who's wearing the correct team color and enjoys nonstop gifts of journalistic gratification.
May I burnish your industrial-strength antimatter armor, sir?
On Newsom's watch, in-your-face voter fraud isn't illegal. It's codified into law. It's illegal to ask for identification to vote in California. Wouldn't want to upset the open border, illegal alien-abetting CHIRLA radicals who receive millions from lawmakers giving out tax dollars like they're clean crack pipes at one of the homeless encampments, would we?
The feds are investigating voter fraud in California, and Newsom refuses to cooperate with the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. It's as if he doesn't care who's voting in his state or something.
Before ballots drop in the weeks-long slo-mo voter impersonation fraud that passes for an election, we should remind voters of how "great" Gavin Newsom's reign has been. Because right after this election, he's throwing down for the top spot in the nation.
The unprepared Lieutenant Governor stepped into office right before COVID hit, and his gut told him to shutter the state, spend wildly, and hope no one noticed. Long after COVID — after getting his pants pulled down by Chinese mask makers, prisoners, and Nigerian princes claiming unemployment checks, Newsom still can't balance a checkbook.
Governor Null Sign has secretly claimed there's no way the high-speed rail tracks will be built in our lifetimes yet greenlights spending endless billions for the zombie project.
Reporters who have tried to shine a light on the rampant corruption in the state have been prevented by Democrat lawmakers from publishing their findings or risk being sued criminally. Newsom signed this Stop Nick Shirley Act into law without apology. Others have been threatened for revealing the open fraud because Democrats claim it's racist.

He's burned through billions. It's not like he didn't know. That's what happens when you use temporary funding for new program spending. It's what happens when you intentionally put other people's money on the hook for your personal desire to cater to illegal aliens, health insurance rent seekers, and give out free surgeries to trans people and girls seeking abortions.
He acts like it's his money.
He has taken a victory lap for chasing Elon Musk and his Tesla and SpaceX companies from California. He thinks nothing of foundational Silicon Valley companies like parts of Hewlett-Packard, Oracle, Chevron, Palantir, and In-N-Out expansion offices. Hundreds of others.
Paramount is the latest company to leave.

Newsom considers it to be no big deal. Nearly 1,000,000 jobs have left, and he hasn't lifted a finger to fight for them. That's not bravado; that's just dumb and lazy.
The political contortionist can't stop patting himself on the back for chasing out multiple oil refineries and gas stations in an effort to increase energy prices. It's not like he doesn't understand the pain he's inflicting. He takes great pleasure, in fact, in pointing out that California gas prices are high if they go up a few pennies a gallon because of the Iran conflict.
We send relatives in Southern California money to cover the cost of air conditioning while we stay because it's so expensive. Diesel is $10/gallon. Vicki Gunvalson of the OC Housewives show said it cost her $400 to heat her pool for two days.
This is what Newsom sought. It's what he got.
If he were running a Silicon Valley company, he would have been run out of office by shareholders years ago.
A Democrat whose "turn" it is stands in the political on-deck circle to take Newsom's spot, though it's clear to anyone who wants the state to succeed that Steve Hilton should be elected.
Xavier Becerra thinks Newsom and their shared far-left party have done a bang-up job of running the state ... into the ground.
And now Newsom wants to take his Master of Disaster act nationwide.
Voters shouldn't allow it to happen.
