A number of stories of late have inadvertently highlighted a societal problem that is every bit as serious as the epidemic of woke women: their men.

Nick Dargie was one of the 11 jurors in the Lindsay Clancy case who sided against the single male holdout, whose refusal to join the other 11 jurors led to a hung jury. It’s been reported that when the holdout juror picked up the murder weapon – an exercise band – during deliberations and tried to wrap it around a water bottle to apparently better understand the killings, Dargie was devastated. What’s weird is that while Dargie sided with the jurors who did not want to convict the mother who admitted to strangling her three kids to death, the graphic “strangling” of a plastic water bottle upset him.

You have to assume that if there had been more real men on that jury, the single holdout would not have been alone, and the outcome would have stood a better chance of being more favorable for the victims.

This is not a one-off. More and more, beta males are becoming a problem. Consider this California man who admitted to Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton that he lets his wife instruct him on whom to vote for.

Remember this guy?

Actor Jerry O’Connell has such a strong case of the betas that Bill Maher — not exactly an alpha — has to be the one to tell him to man up.

Let’s check in on two outdoor bros who really know how to get this man thing down. I give you CNN’s Jake Tapper and California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D).

The supposed news coming out of this clip is Newsom saying he won’t run for president in 2028 if Kamala Harris does. A trained eye, and many untrained eyes, can see this interview was practically scripted and rehearsed in advance. Newsom’s not an off-the-cuff, matter-of-fact guy. He just isn’t. Everything he does is Grade A theater kid. And so to act like he’d drop a bomb the way he does here is completely for effect. As for Tapper, he’s no theater kid, which means he’s having trouble acting spontaneously surprised.

Throw in fly fishing and you have a truly cringeworthy moment. Neither looks like he’s ever stood in hip-deep water before or handled a fly rod. Tapper, particularly, needs to get out more and get some vitamin D on that skin of his. He’s almost translucent. Real men, these are not.

This clip reminds me of when, back in 2024, the Democrats trotted out Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) as their imagined version of a real man. One of his many failures in that department was when he went hunting with a gun that, apparently, no one showed him how to use before the cameras started rolling.

Over at CNN, they do have at least one real man on the set in the form of Scott Jennings, who in this clip mops the floor with the beta male’s beta male, David Hogg.

So, what’s the point of all these clips? What is the common thread?

In every election, including the upcoming midterms, the Democrats need regular guys to vote Democrat. They can’t do it all with their base, which is liberal women; the whole LGBTQ sector; black and Hispanic voters that they always lie to during campaigns, only to forget after Election Day; and no small number of these beta males. The party realizes it needs real men who don’t know the meaning of the word “cisgender.”

So, every national election cycle, you’re bound to find these dorks putting on some embarrassing displays of theater where they try to connect with actual men.

It’s not working in Texas. In this promotional video that his own campaign filmed, James Talarico (D-Texas), who is running for Senate, does his level best to appear like he’s been to a Cracker Barrel before. He gives the game away at the end with a theater kid wave.

Not only is Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) on very good terms with the corrupt Somali-American political machine in Minnesota, but he’s invented something we’ll call the Beta Male Dance.

Hold on for one cotton-pickin' minute there, partner. Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed has some dancing of his own to do. It seems that no one is going to win the Beta Male Dance crown without a dance-off. When El-Sayed saw Frey cut the rug, he must have said, "Hold my Cosmopolitan!"

As I’ve written before, El-Sayed’s dancing and his immersive embrace of Taylor Swift music and culture are a bit off-putting if you happen to be a regular guy.

If that’s the best they can do, it’s time to look for a Plan B. The guy thing isn’t working. Maybe they know that. Maybe that’s why they keep fine-tuning their machine that puts people in office who don’t have to get the most votes — you know, their shenanigans.

Because if there is one thing the Democrats won’t do this election cycle, it is connect with straight, America-loving men.
