OK, this really isn't about all of the incestuous nuptial rumors that are always swirling around Rep. Brotherwife in Minnesota, I'm just a sucker for romance.
Or something.
I hesitate to use the phrase, "the walls are closing in," because it's been roundly abused by the Democrats' flying monkeys in the mainstream media regarding President Trump since the moment he was first elected in 2016. There definitely is a "walls closing in" vibe around Ilhan Omar lately though.
I have no doubt that Omar is guilty of a number of things. Then again, I'm at the point where I believe that all Democratic politicians wake up thinking of ways to circumvent the law. The Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferers have really done a number on my ability to give any leftists the benefit of the doubt.
Whether she will face any consequences for her, um, misdeeds is something that I wish we could be more sure of. We're Charlie Brown and hoping that scofflaw leftists face consequences is Lucy with the football. So many Dems have escaped the legal comeuppance they've deserved that I wouldn't be surprised if we once again whiffed and ended up falling on our keisters.
(I'd like to pause here to mark this moment. This is the first time I've ever used "keister" in a column, or anywhere, for that matter. I'm pretty sure that I've never said it out loud. These are both troubling and magical times.)
Not that I believe that a perp walk or two would serve as any kind of deterrent for the Dems. Accountability and remorse are foreign to them. Their friends in the media greatly enable this behavior. Whenever a Democrat is accused of any wrongdoing, the crime and/or aberrant behavior are never the stories, the fact that the mean Republicans pointed it out is the problem as far as the MSM hacks are concerned. That gives the Dems a chance to blame sexism, racism, or whichever "ism" or phobia they've invented that day and keep on doing what they were doing.
I've written a lot recently about the fact that two of the biggest scumbags to emerge from the COVID/Biden scourge — Jack Smith and Anthony Fauci — are not only not facing consequences, but are flaunting their ability to get away with everything. They could team up and go on a bank robbing spree, get caught, and probably be allowed to use the ill-gotten gains for their retirements.
At this point, I just want these people to be removed from the positions of power and trust that their tyrannical natures make them constantly debase with their actions. I'll keep hoping for and dreaming of that.
