Kevin and I both have deep ties to Michigan. He was born and raised there. I have a lot of family there and spend anywhere from 1-3 months a year in the state. For a very long time, Michigan has been solidly purple, despite the Democrats' stranglehold on the United States Senate seats in the 21st century.
With the growing power of the Muslim Democratic-voting bloc, we're pondering whether the state might soon go completely blue.
I do pay a lot of attention to Michigan politics, but not nearly as much as Kevin does. He's more optimistic about the political future of the Wolverine State than I am. Then again, my function here has very little to do with optimism. I am not beset with any gloom and doom feeling regarding Michigan, which almost qualifies as buoyant cheer coming from me.
There were some unfortunate factors at play that allowed Governor Gretchen Whitmer to be reelected, despite the fact that she racked up a body count of elderly nursing home deaths during the Wuhan Chinese Bat Flu. She was also the First Lady of Petty Tyrants during the pandemic. We discuss that a bit and, because it's on the all-access side, we refrain from raining expletives down on the witch.

For those keeping track, this is the fifth week in a row that Kevin and I have recorded, which we are pretty sure is an "Unwoke" record. If we get to 10 weeks, we may ask The Mothership if we can do a remote episode from an all-inclusive beach resort.
