Top O' the Briefing
Happy Wednesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. There's leftover Chia/Beet Surprise on the hotplates in the mule house.
American leftists have long had a fetish for the worst of the worst in Europe. During the Cold War, they were actually fans of all things Soviet. I think being exposed to that as a young kid and teenager had a lot to do with the fact that I never had a youthful wandering liberal phase. We had relatives in Poland whom my grandparents would occasionally visit, and they told me the truth of what was going on behind the Iron Curtain.
It's a real plus to learn at such a young age that liberals are full of it.
For most of my adult political life, useless leftist European leaders have blindly praised every Democratic U.S. president while giving little, if any, respect to Republican presidents. They all ran interference for the drooling idiot Joe Biden but have nothing but derision and resistance for President Trump.
It's not at all surprising that the usual European suspects aren't being helpful in the efforts of the United States and Israel to deal with the bad seeds who are still left in Iran. This is from Catherine:
American and Israeli leaders excoriated the cowardly, treacherous French government for preventing American airplanes from flying through the country’s airspace with military supplies for beleaguered Israel.
As the Iranian regime continues to fire at civilian targets in Israel and other nations, and as the United States and Israel take on the world’s worst terror-sponsoring regime (Iran’s), French President Emmanuel Macron and his government are determined to be on the wrong side of history.
Donald Trump pulled no punches. “The Country of France wouldn’t let planes headed to Israel, loaded up with military supplies, fly over French territory. France has been VERY UNHELPFUL with respect to the ‘Butcher of Iran,’ who has been successfully eliminated! The U.S.A. will REMEMBER!!!” the president posted on Truth Social March 31.
Emmanuel Macron is one of the biggest weasels on the international stage. He's also one of those European leaders who doesn't grasp that his country and continent are vestigial shadows that have very few things to contribute to the free world. France could have been useful here, but Manny Mac opted to flush harder as his country swirls down the toilet.
There are still some good leaders in Europe, like Polish President Karol Nawrocki and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. One doesn't see American leftists fawning over them, however. Democrats and their flying monkeys in the mainstream media prefer to pay attention to idiots like Macron and British lefty loon Keir Starmer.
It's always entertaining and encouraging to see President Trump go off on the resist morons, whether they be domestic campus crazies or Eurotrash leaders who are awash in fading relevance. Thank God we don't ever have to worry about him changing.

The Mailbag of Magnificence
Hey — two days in a row! This is from Charlene in Texas:
"OK, I promise that I will try to lead with some death or war stuff tomorrow."
Actually, for me, it's OK if you don't. I get SO MUCH of THAT stuff everywhere else!!
I completely agree with you, Charlene. The weird thing that I've discovered over the years here is that some of the news junkies are really hooked on the harder, darker stuff. Obviously, I have to pay attention to all of it, but I love it when there is something a little lighter and offbeat to write about. The Tiger Woods news wasn't lighter, but it was different. I knew that people would complain, because they always do when I write about sports. I was warred out though.
Here's a very nice note from Dan:
Good evening Mr. Kruiser,
This might be the most important thing I've read this year:
https://pjmedia.com/stephen-kr
I especially liked, "While I am not exactly on the fast track to sainthood, I do at least try to be an OK-ish practicing Catholic. That's why I am ashamed of the less-than-focused Lent that I have had this year."
I thought that you and I might be in the same boat, but continuing through your article, I see that you are in the boat, and I've been flailing in the water. Happy Easter, and thank you for the kick in the fanny.
Thank you very much for that, Dan. I'd been wrestling with my Lenten failures for a couple of days and mentioned it to Stephen Green and our "Five O'Clock Somewhere" friends on Monday's episode. As we were wrapping up, I blurted out, "I'm going to go write about what a crappy Lent I'm having." I hadn't thought to write about it until that moment, and I'm glad I did. I'm especially grateful that you enjoyed it and found it helpful. Happy Easter to you, too!
Thank you to all who keep writing. See you tomorrow?
Everything Isn't Awful
Serge.
