Foes of jihad violence and Sharia oppression of women from outside the country are not allowed to enter Britain, but Islamic jihad terrorists and jihad terror sympathizers are more than welcome. Numerous jihad preachers have made the rounds of the Sceptered Isle, preaching the Qur’an’s contempt for Jews and Christians and the ultimate necessity of the jihad with the full blessing of the British government, but none of them have shown up the absolute absurdity of Britain’s visa and immigration policies as powerfully as a man named Mohammed Naim, the son of Hamas Politburo member Basem Naim.
The Times of Israel reported Sunday, quite laconically under the circumstances, that “a former bodyguard for Hamas’s slain leader Ismail Haniyeh was reportedly granted asylum and citizenship in Britain before he was caught last year hatching a terrorist plot against Jews and Israeli-linked figures in Europe.” That bodyguard was Mohammed Naim.
Oh, if only Charlie Chaplin or the Three Stooges were with us today; it would take talents of their caliber to capture the slapstick ridiculousness of this story. A poor, bedraggled “Palestinian” refugee shows up, wide-eyed and pathetic, in Britain. He looks pitiable, and British officials immediately set out to pity him copiously, lavishing the poor victim with all kinds of free stuff, and doing everything they can to help him set up a new life away from those evil Zionists.
Cut to the next scene, and we suddenly see the refugee, who should at this point be brimming with gratitude at a level commensurate with the pity that was shown him when he arrived, scouting out synagogues, Jewish-owned businesses, Israeli diplomatic offices, and other potential jihad targets, cackling all the while at the fulsome naivete and stupidity of his generous hosts.
Indeed, so naïve and stupid are his hosts that even when they discovered this fiend’s fiendish plotting, they do absolutely nothing whatsoever to make sure that this sort of thing doesn’t happen again. Their actions are so outstandingly self-defeating, in fact, that the possibility arises that they could be active saboteurs, trying to bring down their own nation from within.
It’s easy to see why such suspicions would arise. The Times of Israel notes that Mohammed Naim “joined Haniyeh’s detail soon after Hamas won the Palestinian Authority’s 2006 legislative election, briefly making Haniyeh PA prime minister. The former bodyguard left Gaza for the last time in 2012 and some time later moved to Britain, where he was one of several Hamas members who were granted asylum last decade based on claims of persecution by Egypt.”
Persecution by Egypt? Egypt is persecuting Hamas guys? Or is Egypt just making it difficult for Hamas to operate inside Egypt, and the endlessly gullible British authorities bought the Hamas side of the story without even questioning it? Could it be that Egyptian authorities know something that the Hamas-adoring leftists of the U.S. and Europe do not know, and refuse to examine?
In any case, when Mohammed Naim was admitted into the UK, Britain “considered Hamas’s armed wing a terrorist organization, while Hamas’s political wing, which Haniyeh led, was not proscribed in the UK until 2021.” So he got in with no problem, and was “eventually granted UK citizenship, and was living as an IT consultant in the suburbs of a large English city, even while his ties to Hamas were public knowledge.”

So here is this former bodyguard to a Hamas leader walking around in Britain, and nobody thinks that he warrants any particular attention: “He was reportedly not a priority for British security services when he began planning to attack Jewish and Israeli targets with other Hamas terrorists in Europe.” He even “pre-recorded a video announcing the plot” and “faces extradition to Germany for allegedly moving weapons to a Vienna arms cache as part of the plot.”
It seems that the Mossad “identified Mohammed Naim as the owner of weapons that were seized in Vienna as part of the multinational investigation that uncovered a plot to attack Jewish and Israeli institutions in Germany.” Mossad also says that Naim “met with his father in Qatar in September 2025 — a month before the second anniversary of the attack — suggesting ‘possible involvement of Hamas leadership in authorizing and directing terror activity in Europe.’”
Does the story of Mohammed Naim suggest to you that British authorities should be a trifle more careful and discerning when they admit migrants? Does the fact that British authorities will learn absolute nothing from the story of Mohammad Naim, and change absolutely none of their procedures and policies, suggest that British authorities are stark raving mad, or bent on destroying Britain as a free society?
