As America marked the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 jihad attacks that murdered nearly 3,000 people, virtually everyone with even the remotest connection to the contemporary political scene had something to say about how we are dealing with the ongoing threat, and Hillary Clinton has never been shy about proclaiming what she thinks about anything.
Still, it was more than a little discomfiting to see the person who was chiefly responsible for the Benghazi jihad massacre, in which the U.S. ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, and three other Americans were killed while Hillary blamed the freedom of speech and scapegoated an obscure filmmaker who had violated Islam’s blasphemy laws, tell the world that the man who defeated her for the presidency back in 2016 isn’t doing a good enough job dealing with the terror threat. If Hillary Clinton had been president from 2017 to 2021, or (horror of horrors) 2017 to 2025, whoever the president of the United States would be now might have a framed portrait of Osama bin Laden in the Oval Office.
At the VOICES 25th Anniversary Symposium, Hillary Clinton said, by all accounts with a straight face: “I worry a lot that we’ve let down our guard on counterterrorism, and I don’t say this to scare anybody or to exaggerate, but I think we are not paying enough attention to resurgent terrorist actions.”
Whether we are or we aren’t, there is no doubt whatsoever that if the Trump administration were currently in the process of a major operation to find jihad terrorists inside the U.S. and prevent them from carrying out an attack, Hillary would be at the front of the line of those saying that he was being far too harsh, and that his actions were “Islamophobic,” and that the terror threat is vastly exaggerated. Whatever Trump is doing, Hillary can be counted on to be insisting that it’s deplorable, stupid, wrongheaded, evil, and bad for your health. If Trump were busy untying maidens from railroad tracks, Hillary would be touting the benefits of letting a huge freight train cut you into pieces.
And so she said: “When you’re more interested in building your ballroom than figuring out what the intelligence is coming out of Afghanistan – that is absolutely contrary to any kind of sensible decision-making.” Gosh, yes, Hillary! If only your comrade Old Joe Biden hadn’t cut and run out of Afghanistan and left the jihad terrorists there many billion dollars’ worth of American military hardware, eh? But Hillary, of course, had nothing to say about that when it happened and nothing now. She wants the American people to believe that if only leftists had been in charge, the terrorists would be fully contained now, and maybe even extinct.
Yeah, sure. If we give more power to those who are allying with the forces of jihad and the supremacy of Sharia, those forces would be stymied, eh, Hillary? That seems to be what she has in mind, for she said that what we really need to fix this problem is an even larger federal government. She “accused the Trump administration of dismantling parts of the federal government, including within the State Department, that traditionally collected intelligence and evaluated these terrorist threats.”

Clinton claimed that “the administration cut thousands of jobs across the federal government last year as part of the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency effort, including at the CIA and the State Department.” This was the CIA and State Department, mind you, that spent nearly a quarter-century ignoring or downplaying the motivating ideology behind jihad terrorism, and Hillary thinks we’re more vulnerable because these armies of fantasists and wishful thinkers have been reduced in number.
That number still includes Hillary herself, however. Back in November 2015, when her presidential hopes still burned brightly, she declared: “Let’s be clear: Islam is not our adversary. Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism." Despite 49,000 jihad attacks since Sept. 11, 2001, many carried out with the express approval or even the active participation of a Muslim cleric, she has never retracted that statement. Even as Islamic jihad terrorists have carried out more attacks inside the U.S., and an increasing number of Muslims inside this country have been boasting about their imminent takeover, she has never retracted this statement.
Hillary, of course, doesn’t really care about Islamic jihad terrorism at all. She just wanted to beat up on Trump for awhile.
