Leftists never pass up a chance to demonstrate that for all their claims that Trump is a “fascist” who is bent on destroying “our democracy,” they’re the real totalitarians who are absolutely intolerant of dissent and determined to stamp it out. This played out yet again recently at a Panda Express in (where else?) Washington state, where employees called the cops on a man wearing a MAGA hat.
It’s understandable that they’d be enraged: after all, you can’t expect good leftists to tolerate political dissent, now, can you? Patriotic vlogger Chris Sims told the story on X on May 11:
Panda Express kicked out @DannyRebel333 and Myself out for Simply for wearing a MAGA hat, and giving a thumbs up to a cook that just stood and Stared at me the whole time because of my Hat.
I asked if there was an issue and the cook said “You’re Hat” so I asked if he supported it.
They proceeded to call the police, and falsely say we were refusing to leave.
I left the store and stood on the side walk and multiple employees came out to intimidate me to leave and stop filming on the public sidewalk.
The Police informed the staff that we did nothing wrong, the woman who called 911 cried and walked back into the building.
No crime, No disturbance, Just a hat and a Thumbs up. This is blatant political discrimination. Panda Express should be ashamed and hold its employees to higher standards.

Fox News reported Tuesday that “the vloggers said they were livestreaming their visit to the restaurant,” but that isn’t illegal any more than is wearing a MAGA hat. A Panda Restaurant Group spokesperson’s response, meanwhile, was as bland as their food: "We want everyone who walks into Panda Express to feel welcome and treated with respect. We have been reviewing the details and understand the situation was handled and addressed at the restaurant level. We’ve reinforced to all our associates the importance of delivering a consistent, welcoming experience for every guest."
Couched in this nothingburger (nothingeggroll?) verbiage was an apparent endorsement of the employees’ actions: Panda Express top dogs “understand the situation was handled and addressed at the restaurant level.” So they’re apparently fine with throwing the patriot out. Good to know.
Fox noted that “the City of Lakewood Police Department confirmed to Fox News Digital that the incident occurred on May 10. Law enforcement had a conversation outside with the streamers and confirmed that they did not do anything wrong, and that the behavior of the Panda Express employees would have to be addressed by the restaurant leadership.”
This isn’t the only time leftists have reacted to the red hat as if it were a red flag waving before a bull. In March 2025 at a club called Chatterbox Jazz in Indianapolis, a he/she/they bartender threatened a woman wearing a MAGA hat with a baseball bat and unceremoniously threw her out of the bar as patrons sat by and laughed at the spectacle.
Journalist Todd Starnes noted that the victim of Chatterbox’s fascism repeatedly asked why she was being thrown out, and finally the bartender explains: “Because you’re a Trump supporter.” “I know,” she responds, capitalist that she is, “but don’t you guys want our money?” The bartender, no doubt a Marxist whether or not he or she or xe realizes how thoroughly he has been indoctrinated, shoots back: “No! Actually, we don’t. Get out of my bar right now.”

When the patriot doesn’t start moving toward the door, the righteously angry barkeep walks over and reaches for a baseball bat, as someone else in the bar calls out to the woman, “You’re not welcome.” The bartender repeats: “I’m not f**king around. Get out of my bar.” As the bartender stands holding the bat and staring at her, she asks: “Are you serious?” He says: “I’m dead serious. Out.” She asks for confirmation: “Because I’m wearing a Trump hat.” That was it.
Leftists are so adamantly convinced that they’re right and righteous that they have no problem with depriving those whom they hate and fear of any and all of the rights they would insist upon for themselves, even as they chatter on about how Trump is a threat to “our democracy.” So while there was nothing illegal about how Chris Sims was treated at the Lakewood Panda Express, the inconsistency and hypocrisy of the left is on full display. Patriots in Lakewood who are looking for Chinese food can and should go elsewhere, as should anyone who is tired of the left’s authoritarianism and hatred. In a just world, that particular Panda Express should be forced to close soon for lack of business, after everyone who is still sane starts going elsewhere. Here’s hoping.
