Memorial Day is supposed to be sacred.
It's the one day a year when Americans should be able to put aside all the partisan bluster and simply remember the men and women who gave everything in defense of our nation. But for today's Democrat Party, even that was too much to ask. While President Donald Trump and senior administration officials made their way to Arlington National Cemetery to honor America's fallen, Democrats were busy doing what they do best: politicizing a day that shouldn't have anything to do with politics.
And honestly, I'm not surprised.
The official X account for the Democrat Party posted a stark black graphic on Memorial Day, “honoring” the 13 Americans killed during Operation Epic Fury.
Today, we honor the American heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in Trump’s war with Iran. pic.twitter.com/4Act0DK7Js

These heroes didn't die for a party.
They didn't die for a slogan.
They died for this country, and the Democrat Party slapped their names on a campaign graphic and called it an honor.
The White House Rapid Response account said exactly what needed to be said.
Today, we honor all Americans who made that ultimate sacrifice not in service to a person or party — but to their nation.

Using these heroes’ deaths for politics on Memorial Day is truly disgusting. https://t.co/KkSFdJZJ60
Disgusting doesn't begin to cover it.
For Democrats, Memorial Day isn’t a sacred day at all.
Out in Minneapolis, Mayor Jacob Frey had his own idea of what Memorial Day is for. As PJ Media previously reported, Frey's first post of the day wasn't about soldiers. It wasn't about sacrifice or service or the weight of a folded flag. It was about George Floyd. "Today, we remember George Floyd, who was murdered by a former Minneapolis police officer six years ago," Frey wrote. "That moment changed our city forever."

That moment changed our city forever.
After three hours and a lot of criticism, Frey finally posted a boilerplate message about Memorial Day. The message was brief and generic, accompanied by a simple graphic that looked like it was slapped together in five seconds.
This is where the Democrat Party is right now. They just cannot help themselves. A sacred national day of mourning, and they see it as another opportunity to attack a president they hate and elevate narratives they love. The fallen are useful to them only if they can be weaponized. The moment a soldier's death stops serving the political argument, it stops mattering.
Democrats don’t want to honor our heroes unless they can exploit them for political purposes. And every family member of every soldier whose name appeared on that black graphic deserves to know what the Democrat Party actually thinks of their loved one's sacrifice: a prop, nothing more.
