Today, October 14, Charlie Kirk should have  been celebrating his 33rd birthday. Instead, his wife, children, and other loved ones must mourn his premature death as a martyr to political terrorism. The occasion should remind us, however, that in this midterm year especially, we have Charlie’s work to finish.

We certainly have to thank Charlie for the 2024 victories of Donald Trump‘s election and Republicans taking Congress. Charlie overworked himself to bring as many votes to Trump and the Republicans as possible, especially among the typically left-leaning younger demographics. If Charlie were still alive, he would be filled with energy for dealing Democrats and socialists a huge defeat this November.

Turning Point USA is doing its best with initiatives like funding ballot chasers, which means “contacting disengaged voters to mark their ballots and make a plan to vote.” Turning Point Action “chased over 315,000+ ballots and built 400,000+ relationships” just in Arizona in 2024, and a TPUSA volunteer came through my Arizona neighborhood last week with packets of information. Some volunteers communicate in person and others text or call, or even write postcards.

This initiative does everything from helping Americans register to vote, to mobilizing them on election day at the polls, to helping them understand the races in which they are voting. Also, different TPUSA chapters hold rallies and events, and there might be one in your area before the election. TPAction still needs volunteers, and it still needs donations. Right there, there are already several ways to help carry on Charlie’s legacy. Mrs. Erika Kirk shared an update on Chase the Vote this week:

Of course, there are also other events, organizations, and campaigns where you could volunteer or donate. Even something as simple as encouraging your conservative friends to vote and driving them to the polls, or perhaps challenging a leftist relative on his narrative, could make a difference. Republicans have more to fear from voter apathy than from anything else in this election.

Many Democrat voters do extremely poor research and don’t know what their own candidates are saying, and non-radical lefties might think twice if they find out that their local candidates support terrorism or infanticide.

Mike Rogers in Michigan and Steve Hilton in California have made great inroads with moderate Democrats because they didn’t accept the claim that Republicans had no chance in those states. But these candidates also need loyal supporters who help spread their message. And that is exactly what Charlie would have wanted.
