There is one example in modern history of a native people returning after many centuries from diaspora around the world to their original land and reestablishing it with the same religion, language, and cultural customs as in ancient times. That would be the Jews’ reestablishment of Israel. But the invaders who long ago stole Israel from the Jews and Christians — the Muslims — are demanding their supposed right to recolonize the land. It’s the exact opposite of the narrative that leftists push.
In fact, I never cease to find it ironic that the lefties who blather constantly about stolen land and oppressed native peoples are furious at the only native people who managed to take back their stolen land. But the reality is that lefties hate the Jews more than they believe in reclaiming stolen land. Nor do lefties pay any heed to God’s statement clearly in the Bible that the land was to be the Israelites’ as a perpetual possession (Genesis 17:8).

The so-called Palestinians are a conglomerate of Arabs and only began using that name in the 1960s, so they certainly are not “the native people” of the land. But more broadly speaking, Muslim Arabs came to Israel as colonizers and invaders. Just as they stole the land of Israel, they falsely claimed the Jewish and Christian heritage for themselves and built a mosque complex on top of the ruins of the Jewish Temple. It was almost as if Satan were rewriting history and defying God from God‘s holiest city.
Muhammad massacred the Jewish tribes of Medina. His successor Umar’s armies besieged and conquered Jerusalem in the mid-seventh century. Evidence indicates that it was after this conquest that the Muslims invented the ridiculous story of Muhammad having a magical night journey to the Jerusalem mosque that wasn’t built till decades after his death.

The Crusades were the Christian response to the Muslim colonization of Israel. The land changed hands multiple times, not only back-and-forth between Christians and Muslims, but also from one Muslim dynasty to another, up until the 20th century. After the last Muslim rulers of Israel, the Ottomans, lost the land, the growing Zionist movement finally managed to convince the British to allow the establishment of a Jewish state there again, although some of the land that should’ve been Israel’s ended up in the hands of Muslims who invented Jordan, because the British unfortunately kept trying to appease the unappeasable Muslims.

Despite that, as soon as Israel had its modern rebirth, Muslims invaded. Israel has given them even more land over the years, including Gaza, but nothing has stopped the Jihad. The colonizers want their stolen land. The 50 Muslim nations they already have are not enough. Now they’ve even adopted the name of the ancient enemies of Israel, the Philistines (hence Palestinians), who also invaded Israel and persecuted the Jews.Dan Burmawi summed it up well. “Islam was the greatest colonization project the world has ever seen. It expanded by the sword, erased civilizations, and imposed a single, suffocating identity on lands that had once been diverse and flourishing,” he said. “Israel is the greatest decolonization project in history. It is a people returning to their land, reviving a dead language, rebuilding a shattered identity, and standing against the same ideology that colonized their land in the first place.”
