British officials have imposed new sanctions on Israelis living on their own land in Judea and Samaria, the “West Bank.” But the British government is doing trade with numerous governments with horrific track records on human rights, including China and Afghanistan.

Judea and Samaria belonged to the Jews over a thousand years before the invention of Islam (e.g., Micah 5:2, John 4:3-4, Hosea 13:16), and they should be entirely Israeli again. The Muslim Arab settlers — for they are the real invaders and settlers, not the Israelis — who live in those areas are infamous for their excessive enthusiasm for terrorism. There were multiple terrorist attacks on Israeli Jews just recently in Samaria, where Palestinian settlements are hotspots of jihad. But the UK doesn’t care about reality; its leaders hate the Jews and continue the long, delusional love affair between the British government and Muslim Arabs.
While British trade with Afghanistan is decreasing, it is still sizable, according to a UK government report:
Total trade in goods and services (exports plus imports) between the UK and Afghanistan1 was £61 million in the four quarters to the end of Q1 2026, a decrease of 18.7% or £14 million in current prices from the four quarters to the end of Q1 2025. Of this £61 million:
• Total UK exports to Afghanistan amounted to £48 million in the four quarters to the end of Q1 2026…
• Total UK imports from Afghanistan amounted to £13 million in the four quarters to the end of Q1 2026
Just as a reminder, the genocidal, Christian-persecuting, women-despising, Sharia-loving Taliban runs Afghanistan. But apparently that does not prevent the UK from conducting trade with Afghanistan, even though the UK is so squeamish about dealing with Israel.
Speaking of genocidal dictatorships with which the UK still does trade, there’s China. In 2021, then-UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab introduced new rules aimed at preventing goods linked to forced labor in the Xinjiang region of China from entering British supply chains, because that is where the Chinese Communist Party is committing mass ethnic genocide. But the reality is that the CCP commits atrocities constantly, not only all across China, but around the world.

Religious persecution, mass surveillance, political imprisonment, espionage, forced live organ harvesting, sex trafficking, slave labor, you name it, the CCP is doing it. Cutting off Xinjiang is like chopping off one head of the Hydra. Doing trade with China is doing trade with the most murderous dictatorship in history, and that’s just a fact, albeit one that neither American nor British authorities want to acknowledge. Furthermore, China’s industry depends on exploitative labor practices, not just in Xinjiang, but everywhere. That’s why it was able to attract so many Western companies to the country.

Then again, it is not shocking that the UK is willing to do trade with the CCP and the Taliban, but not with Israel, given that the UK is on the side of the Palestinian terrorists. The reality is that UK authorities are fine with jihad, tyranny, slave labor, human trafficking, and many other atrocities. Their obsession with punishing Israel is pure antisemitism.
