No Learning Curve: The WHO Turns First to China Amid Ebola Outbreak

During the COVID-19 pandemic, numerous nations destroyed their economies, increased their death counts, and stunted their young people’s growth by adopting the restriction recommendations from Communist China. So what is the World Health Organization (WHO) doing during a Democratic Republic of the Congo Ebola outbreak? Turning first to Communist China. I predict another disaster.

Presuming that the claim of “exclusive” is not, in fact, a lie, since we have to take every claim made by a Chinese state media outlet with a grain of salt, the Global Times was the first to receive notification of the DRC wanting help with the Ebola outbreak. And since the Global Times is just a mouthpiece for the genocidal Chinese Communist Party (CCP), that is the same as contacting the CCP for help.

Allegedly, the current Ebola outbreak in the DRC is the largest the country has ever had to deal with, though perhaps the country should be even more concerned about the deadly plague of Islamic terrorism which has lasted much longer than any Ebola outbreak. The Global Times asserted:

New infections are doubling weekly in some hotspots and spreading faster than the response can be scaled up, the World Health Organization (WHO) told the Global Times in an email on Thursday. … "We are in a major scale-up in every aspect of the response. Support is needed for all areas of the response, including surveillance, treatment, field investigation, safe burial teams, and community work," WHO said in its replies. …

On August 1, China's third team of medical experts departed Beijing for the DRC to support efforts to contain the Ebola outbreak, taking over from two earlier teams and helping strengthen local prevention and control measures, according to Xinhua.

As a matter of fact, China already sent people back in June and July, so I would say it is failing miserably. Obviously their expert advice has not done anything toward containing the outbreak.

Furthermore, the Chinese health system is infamously awful, as might be expected of a socialist country. Corruption, high costs, quacks, harmful medications, bad hygiene, and massive bureaucracy are just a few of the ubiquitous problems in China’s healthcare system. Why on earth would you trust its so-called experts to give advice on medical treatment?

Let's recall what happened during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the WHO also borrowed its global masking, lockdown, and social distancing recommendations from China. The lockdown restrictions from China were so horrific that despite the threat of bloody and brutal government reprisals—which did happen—there were mass uprisings there. Chinese authorities welded people into their homes, locked millions up in prison-like camps, abused factory workers, and killed pets. But this seemed somehow so effective to the WHO that it adopted some of the same policies. The WHO also pushed COVID vaccines under Chinese recommendation, and we now know the vaccines had numerous harmful and sometimes deadly side effects.

Indeed, at the present moment, the WHO's website brags, "WHO China puts the priorities set by the Government of China and WHO global and regional strategic directions at the core of its works." We're talking about a government that is committing ethnic and religious genocide, running the world's worst surveillance state, sabotaging multiple other nations, and coming off decades of forced abortions. But the WHO is proud to push the priorities of such a government?

The Ebola victims in the DRC are not going to receive any help worth having from the Chinese.
