The current mass invasion of tens of thousands of Moroccan men, including reportedly huge numbers of criminals and soldiers, into Spanish territory has resulted in a great deal of looting and violence. The incident illustrates exactly why citizens should have their own firearms.
Estimates of how many Moroccans, the overwhelming majority of whom are men, have invaded Spanish territory in North Africa this week range from a little below 40,000 to 60,000, and it seems the flow has not yet stopped. Groups of citizens in Ceuta have begun patrolling the streets, since the Spanish military won’t take any decisive action. The problem is that, unlike the Spanish military, the citizens do not have a lot of weapons.
It is possible to own a gun in Spain but very difficult. Self-defense is one of the possible justifications for Spaniards to own a handgun, but generally speaking, even those who have successfully received gun permits are not supposed to carry their firearms in public; the firearms are supposed to be in secure storage at home. This, of course, makes it much more difficult to react to dangerous situations on the streets or beaches. And frankly, I think the Spanish government sent more police to block Ceuta protestors than to block Moroccan illegal aliens.
🚨 CEUTA AT BREAKING POINT: THOUSANDS OF SPANISH NATIONALS TAKE TO THE STREETS TO PROTEST AS MIGRATION CRISIS ESCALATES 🚨

Thousands of Spanish nationals and patriotic citizens have taken to the streets of Ceuta to protest what they describe as the mass illegal entry of migrants… pic.twitter.com/3JHUVgXITV
🇲🇦 Today, thousands of migrants were literally brought in the backs of trucks and unloaded right at the Spanish border, all under the watch of the local police. pic.twitter.com/xZ1uETBtjP

The Association of Accredited Public Policy Advocates to the European Union reported in 2022 that 7.5 out of every 100 people in Spain own a firearm — or at least, there were 7.5 guns for every 100 people. I was not able to confirm if that percentage has changed significantly since 2022 or what the specific gun ownership rates are in Ceuta and Melilla. For a little comparison, as of 2017, the United States had more privately owned guns than we have citizens. That is a huge contrast between Spaniards’ ability to defend themselves and Americans’ ability to do so. Though if you want to see an American equivalent to the Spaniards' situation, go to one of the big U.S. cities with harsh gun control like Chicago and experience the chaos. Some of the border towns from the Biden era also experienced similar crises.

Police vehicles also.
This can happen to your country too and will happen if your political leaders ignore it and refuse to act. pic.twitter.com/ZXo0qWSGHe

Yes, 80.5% of Spanish youth opposed mass migration as of April, so it is not as if the people of Spain lack the desire to repel the invaders. In fact, it seems Spanish young people are more awake to the dangers of mass migration than American young people. The issue the Spanish face is the means for defending themselves. And since the Spanish Supreme Court recently ruled “migrants” to Ceuta cannot immediately be repatriated, the citizens desperately need means to defend themselves.
The Spanish town of Ceuta, which has a population of only around 83,000 people, has been invaded by at least 60,000 young Muslim men from Morocco in the last few days. Border control completely collapsed and the migrants simply swam or walked (on rocks) to the beach in the town.… pic.twitter.com/nLNzAiS5l2

Americans must profit by watching Spain’s horrific catastrophe. No matter how many Spanish citizens understand that their royalty and politicians are corrupt, and that the mass migration is disastrous, it might well be too late to stop the invasion. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez is too much of an ideologue to admit he caused this crisis.

The citizens of Ceuta: "Pedro Sánchez, hijo de puta".
There were more police protecting him than protecting the border. pic.twitter.com/yyp90OPjBf
But if we Americans have one takeaway from the new Muslim invasion of Spain, it's that having a well-armed citizenry is a great deterrent against invaders. The imperial Japanese certainly believed that during WWII, and it's still true today.
