An Iranian official bragged that supporters and immigrants across the United States could be helpful to the terrorist regime in trying to assassinate Donald Trump and create deadly havoc in our country.
Hassan Rahimpour Azghadi, who sits on Iran's Supreme Council for the Cultural Revolution, apparently sees his fellow mullahs as holding the power to launch a cultural revolution, and a bloody one, right here in the U.S. During a speech on Channel 1 Iran that the Middle East Media Research Center translated, he claimed that his visits to America convinced him that countless Americans — especially academics — are "wholeheartedly loyal" to the Iranian regime's terrorist goals. It is true that U.S. academia is rife with pro-jihad, anti-American antisemites. Tehran's pals in Qatar and sharia enforcers in Saudi Arabia have been lavishing funding on U.S. universities to some purpose. Multiple relatives of top Iranian officials were working at or attending U.S. schools.

Azghadi even indicated Iranian plants are in other countries in the Americas. "With the help of revolutionaries in countries near America, we can carry out operations inside America," he claimed. "There are UAVs scattered everywhere. Inside the U.S., we can strike the White House and Congress with UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles] ... we should also target officials in America — first and foremost, Trump."
Sneering at U.S. Central Command troops, Azghadi ranted, "CENTCOM declared that it had unmanned surface vessels, for the first time against Iran's naval facilities in Bandar Abbas. Okay, can't we do the same along American shores? If they come here and do this on our shores, we have the legal right, as well as the capability to respond in kind." Since the Iranian regime began this conflict 47 years ago, Azghadi's reasoning is faulty, but it is striking that despite Iran's weakened naval capacity he feels confident in claiming he could get hold of such vessels. Perhaps Communist China and Russia are sending Tehran more than just weapons and basic military equipment.
Azghadi asserted, "We can lay mines along America's shores very nicely." He excitedly claimed, "We have hundreds of thousands of supporters in [multiple] American states. I was there, and participated in seminars." It would be interesting to know where these seminars happened and who hosted them. "Even among the American academics, there are people who are wholeheartedly loyal to the Islamic Revolution: Many Iranians, Arabs, Turks, Afghans, and Muslims — even American Muslims, blacks, and others," he argued.
There are two points to draw from this claim, both of which are very concerning. Firstly, we note that Azghadi is sure many immigrants from Middle Eastern nations to the U.S., whether legally or illegally, are supportive of the Iranian regime. This is another reason to worry about TPS status, H-1B visas, and more facilitating migration from these countries to the U.S. Then Azghadi expands his assertion to include many Muslims who are American citizens, arguing that they, too, are sympathetic to the Tehran terrorists. Given that around half of American Muslims say they have a positive view of Hamas, and that a 2026 CAIR poll showed 83% of Muslim voters in four states were furious at strikes on Iran, Azghadi is probably right. For many if not most Muslim Americans, loyalty to Islam and therefore to jihad ranks above national patriotism, and that should terrify us.

The second point from Azghadi's claim is that he thinks there are many non-Muslim Americans so empathetic to the Iranian regime that they, too, could join a violent revolution if asked. He specifically cites the black American demographic probably because it is so heavily Democrat, though I would argue that white wokies, particularly college-educated white women, are just as radicalized, if not more so. Around 11,000 Iranians entered the U.S. under the Biden administration's open borders policy. We genuinely have no idea how many of them were terrorists or regime agents. The U.S. government has already identified multiple would-be assassins targeting Trump on behalf of Iran. The enemy is within our borders, and we had better get serious about addressing it before Azghadi's plan goes into action.
