A scientist whom the Trump administration entrusted with reforming a climate program has exposed the idiocy of labeling someone a “climate denier.” But this really highlights a bigger problem with leftist climate propaganda, and shows just how shallow the climate alarmist veneer of legitimacy is.
After FactPost whined about how geochemist Matthew Wielicki is leading the U.S. Global Change Research Program, labeling him a “climate change denier,” Wielicki mocked the stupidity and self-defeating nature of the term before explaining why it does not apply to him. “How can I simultaneously ‘deny climate change’ while constantly talking about past climate changes, ice ages, warm periods, droughts, floods, and the natural variability recorded throughout Earth's history?” he asked.
Every time someone calls me a "climate denier," I have to ask:
— Dr. Matthew M. Wielicki (@MatthewWielicki) July 10, 2026
How exactly do you deny a noun?
Can you deny baseball? Can you deny grass? Can you deny mountains? Climate exists.
And if you're asking whether I deny climate change, then you've clearly never listened to anything… https://t.co/Cr3PVFlfZH
This brings up an interesting point — namely, that climate alarmists are actually the ones who deny the nature of climate and how constantly it changes. There has never been a period in history when the weather was consistently predictable, and when one attempts such ridiculous claims as an “average global temperature,” science crosses over into the realm of myth and pure ideology.

Climate alarmists have been wrong on every single major prediction for more than 60 years, which you would think would have exploded the nonsense long ago. But then again, this was never about science; it was always about control. The doomsday climate fiction allows leftists to filter almost anyone out of the scientific community, politics, and academia who is not willing to compromise on truth and integrity for the sake of money and ideology. The outrage over the Trump administration challenging alarmist dogma is about the sudden collapse of this filter system, not about genuine fear of climate crisis.
The lies about an alleged climate apocalypse have always been very susceptible to exposure. The examples in the post below are just a few of dozens, if not hundreds, of times various alarmists set quite definite and imminent deadlines for when the apocalypse was supposed to strike the planet, all of which predictions turned out to be false. This is why so many ordinary Americans just don’t buy the garbage anymore.

Just as analyzing the term “climate denier” immediately exposes how grammatically and scientifically ridiculous it is, so all these predictions highlight how preposterous the alarmist worldview is.

Leftists can only control the thinking of large numbers of people so long as they can prevent those people from taking any time to analyze the terms in use. Propaganda never holds up against truth.
