Democrats’ latest attack on paternity and maternity is legislation to turn the terms of “father” and “mother” in official documents into terms like “gestating parent” and “non-gestating parent.”
In the worst Orwellian type of Marxist Newspeak, New York Dems are trying to transform the terms for fatherhood and motherhood into meaningless pseudo-medical jargon. Partly leftists rewrite language so that they can control not only how people speak but how they think. But partly this is more deconstruction of parenthood and thus of the family. When the building block of society (the family) is destroyed, government steps in as not only Big Brother but Big Daddy.

I was reflecting on this today even before I saw the news about the "gestating parent" legislation because the priest at my local parish was expressing his frustration over how many young couples have bought into the lies framing parenthood as little more than an expensive catastrophe that ruins one's future. Instead of seeing parenthood as the most fulfilling mission, as the opportunity to raise the future and pass on the best of our political and religious beliefs, young people are conditioned to fear babies. The pro-aborts and climate alarmists did their job very thoroughly.
The priest also made a point that is perfectly true and yet not often raised — namely, that our population is heading so rapidly toward collapse that schools are closing or downsizing left and right. He is in charge of a school as well as a church, and he said he was trying to reason with certain leftist, pro-abort teachers who couldn't understand how their years of voting for those who vilified motherhood and funded abortions had resulted in a dearth of young students. Democrats and their allies in the medical and education industries convinced Americans to contracept and abort the next generation out of existence. Then elites brought in loads of third-world immigrants to replace the children who were never born. But even with replacement migration, it's not enough to halt the young population shrinkage.
In other words, the Marxist, leftist assault on parenthood not only tricked many Americans into rejecting the joys of having children and overlooking the importance of younger relatives in one's old age, but that assault also quite literally led our nation toward demographic catastrophe. It's not merely that there will be much fewer Americans, but that our entire culture and political system will change. There are fewer U.S. teens, but unless the Supreme Court makes the right decision on "birthright citizenship," there will be a million Chinese Communists soon voting in U.S. elections. Under the Biden administration, all job gains were going to "migrants," and even under the Trump administration, the H-1B visa pipeline continues to steal hundreds of thousands of jobs. And thousands of schools across our nation are pushing childless homosexuality and castrating "transgenderism" on impressionable children.

If you want to know how this ends, look at the history of the late Roman Empire. June 2 is the anniversary of the barbarian Vandals' 455 A.D. sack of Rome, ending a long era of that city's dominance over world affairs not just politically but culturally and philosophically. True, Rome would rise again as the religious capital of Europe, but the Roman Empire that had dominated the world perished under the swords and boots of the many barbarian tribes whom the failing Roman people had welcomed in to serve in their armies, fill up their cities, and take over their jobs.
History tells us how this ends, and it's not pretty. The Democrats' demeaning and destruction of parenthood was deliberate, and it has reached a crisis point from which we shall find it hard to stop from galloping into a complete transformation of our nation.
