Ahead of Trump’s Address, Unapologetic Iranian President Blames … the Jews

In a letter to the American people ahead of Donald Trump‘s Wednesday address about the Iran operation, the president of Iran admitted no blame, acknowledged no terrorism, offered no apology, and blamed the operation entirely on Israel. And this is exactly why we cannot trust anything a single member of this regime says.

The letter, shared on X by European media outlet Visegrád 24, and from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, is such shameless and devious propaganda that it's hard to discuss it calmly. But it is very important to analyze the missive to understand that the terror-sponsoring Iranian regime is not determined to change its ways or admit its crimes. America and Israel launched Operation Epic Fury in response to substantial evidence that the Iranian regime facilitated the Oct. 7 massacre, that it was planning bigger attacks on Israel and the U.S., and that it had just massacred between 30,000 and 40,000 of its own Persian people. According to Pezeshkian, the operation was purely a result of American colonialist meddling and Israeli manipulation. Of course, the Muslim concept of taqiyya makes it laudable for jihadis to lie to non-Muslims in pursuit of their murderous goals.

The lies and half-truths in the letter are endless. For example, Pezeshkian refers to "an illegal American 1953 tension," when the U.S. and UK backed Iranians ousting a radical usurper from power in their country and restoring the Pahlavi monarchy. The profound irony is that Pezeshkian's regime, the Islamic regime, came to power in 1979 by unjustly overthrowing and ousting the Pahlavi monarchy. The 1953 so-called "coup" has nothing to do with the current Iranian regime, which did not come into power until decades later.

As for the claim that the current Iranian regime wanted peace with America, that it has "no enmity toward other nations," and that America is part of a trend of "occupation, invasion, colonialism, or domination" in Iran, it's preposterous. The Iranian regime has been continually attacking Americans either directly or through terror proxies for half a century. In reality, Iran's regime has been at war with America for more than 40 years, and the current operation is just an unusual instance of America actually taking the initiative and fighting back. Iran's regime literally calls America the "great Satan," and "death to America" is their favorite chant. Since Operation Epic Fury began, Iranian leaders have repeatedly threatened to assassinate Trump. Pezeshkian conveniently omitted all that.

Pezeshkian also bragged about how great literacy rates and healthcare have been for Iranians under his regime. Yet in the last few years, the Iranian regime has repeatedly slaughtered freedom protestors, increased religious and political persecution, tightened restrictive sharia enforcement, and stepped up executions of political prisoners. The horrendous January 2026 massacre of pro-freedom protestors and the protestors' calls to the USA for aid contributed to Trump's decision to launch Operation Epic Fury. You can read about a few of the young people gunned down by regime thugs here. And ever since the operation launched, the Iranian regime has been deliberately firing missiles not only at military targets but at many civilian targets in Israel and the Gulf states, killing dozens of innocents, including children. Iran's regime is not the victim here.

Finally, Pezeshkian wrote:

Is it not also the case that America has entered this aggression as a proxy for Israel, influenced and manipulated by that regime? Is it not true that Israel, by manufacturing an Iranian threat, seeks to divert global attention away from its crimes toward the Palestinians? Is it not evident that Israel now aims to fight Iran to the last American soldier and the last American taxpayer dollar—shifting the burden of its delusions onto Iran, the region, and the US itself in pursuit of illegitimate interests?

Is “America First” truly among the priorities of the U.S. government today?

This is satanically clever, because Pezeshkian knows that many antisemites in the United States are claiming Israel unfairly dragged the USA into conflict with Iran. It's balderdash, by the way; Trump himself emphatically denied that Israel pressured him into launching the operation, and even argued he had pushed Israel somewhat. Also, as noted above, the Iranian regime sees America as an even bigger target than Israel. But Pezeshkian (who sponsors Palestinian terrorism against Israel) is determined to take no blame for the conflict, so he's falling back on the old and despicable tactic of blaming "the Jews." What's so disturbing is that his propaganda could convince some Americans.

President Trump, please don't believe any lies the Iranian regime tells you. The murderous mullahs are not repentant and reformed, they are simply desperate. But their ideology is as evil and bloodthirsty as ever.
