Missouri v. Biden Win: A Vindication for Free Speech

The new Louisiana district court victory in the famous Missouri v. Biden censorship case is a vindication for the First Amendment right to free speech and a rebuke of the massive censorship industrial complex that the Democrat Party, the Deep State, and Big Tech built up to crush all dissent and original thought.

Freedom of speech was so important to the Founding Fathers that it was among the first five rights listed in the Bill of Rights. But the Democrat Party, which has always been anti-American and grows increasingly so all the time, wanted to transform our Republic into a tyrannical oligarchy. And naturally, that involved a systematic campaign to crush free speech. Missouri v. Biden challenged the censorship industrial complex and exposed its anti-constitutionality and depth.

Sen. Eric Schmitt, who filed the lawsuit when he was the attorney general of Missouri, celebrated, “We just won Missouri v. Biden.” He talked about how the Biden administration was “brazenly colluding with Big Tech to silence Missouri families — censoring the truth about COVID, the Hunter Biden laptop, the open border, and the 2020 election. They tried to turn Facebook, X, YouTube, and the rest into their private speech police.”

But finally, after years of litigation and a Supreme Court punt, a federal district court approved “a historic 10-year, court-enforceable Consent Decree. It directly binds the Surgeon General, the CDC, and CISA: no more threats of legal, regulatory, or economic punishment. No more coercion. No more unilateral direction or veto of platform decisions to remove, suppress, deplatform, or algorithmically bury protected speech,” Schmitt added. “Missouri struck first—and Missouri won big. This is the first real, operational restraint on the federal censorship machine. It locks in the First Amendment principle we fought for: modern technology doesn’t erase your rights, and government labels don’t strip speech of protection. The deep state just got checked.”

There is still work to do, because Big Tech companies are run by the same censorship-loving elitists as before, waiting for a Democrat administration to come into power. It would be good if the Trump administration did not make quite so many lucrative deals with globalist monoliths like Google, Meta, and Microsoft. But the win in Missouri v. Biden is a very important step in the right direction.

It confirms what we knew, but weren't allowed to say for so long — that government officials and Big Tech did conspire against the American people to violate their God-given, constitutional rights. The court win also confirms that state officials do have power to protect their citizens from federal overreach, even if the protection is not granted immediately.

And, most importantly, it reminds We the People and the current administration how vitally important it is to gut the Deep State so it does not arise as strong as ever a couple years from now. DOGE has done good work, and there have been some important firings, but the majority of the officials who participated in the censorship industrial complex faced no accountability. That needs to change.
