The terror-loving Qatari-tied propagandist known as Tucker Carlson just shamelessly lied about Israel again. He has learned from his likely Muslim paymasters that if you cannot make true accusations against Israel, simply invent them.
“Tucker Carlson says he was detained in Israel” screamed The New Republic headline. The Daily Mail had a similar piece, sensationally asserting that Tucker was "'dragged into [an] interrogation room'". Now, if we are being perfectly honest, the Israeli authorities would probably have had a good reason if they had detained him, because despite his traveling to Israel to interview Ambassador Mike Huckabee, Tucker is little more than a mouthpiece for the terrorist-sponsoring regimes that back Israel’s number one Jihadi enemy, Hamas. But, in fact, as usual, Israel was a great deal more generous and considerate toward Carlson than he ever would be toward Israel.
Tucker is simply lying because he has decided he is going to frame Israel as a genocidal entity, and no amount of reality is going to stop him. After all, he is quite literally on the side of the people trying to commit a second Holocaust, denying Israel’s right to exist (which is grounded both in legal rights and in Biblical grants from God as in Genesis 17:8) and claiming that the victims of genocidal terrorism are the perpetrators of genocidal terrorism. So why should he balk at inventing false accusations against Israeli airport authorities?
Israel’s Foreign Ministry relayed a message from Israeli Airports Authority on X with the real story: “Contrary to the reports, Tucker Carlson and his entourage were not detained, delayed, or interrogated. Mr. Carlson and his party were politely asked a few routine questions, in accordance with standard procedures applied to many travelers.” Israeli airports, as I witnessed personally, have to have strict security because there are so many would-be Islamic terrorists in the country.
For Our VIPs: Ash Wednesday Is the Antithesis of Modern Leftism’s Victimhood Obsession
The X post added, “The conversation took place in a separate room within the VIP lounge solely to protect their privacy and to avoid conducting such a discussion in public. No unusual incident occurred, and the Israel Airports Authority firmly rejects any other claims.”
Shame on Tucker for spreading lies when actually he experienced extremely polite treatment. But he's obviously past feeling any shame.
For instance, speaking recently at the Real Estate Future Forum in Saudi Arabia, Carlson pontificated, "I'm, for whatever it's worth, a pretty fervent Christian, and I feel completely comfortable here in the seat of Islam." Apparently it's not worth much. Someone should tell him that Islamic sacred texts explicitly endorse the murder of non-Muslims, and that Islam is one of the two ideologies (the other being Communism) most responsible for persecution of Christians in the world today. In fact, as my colleague Robert Spencer detailed, Saudi Arabia harshly represses Christianity.
Tucker also proved what a pathetic stooge he is in January by outrageously asserting that the Iranian regime's constant chants of "Death to America" aren't really indicative of violent animosity and that the only reason America faces a jihad threat is because of naughty behavior by the U.S. military and — you guessed it — the Jews. He's so predictable it's nauseating.
It's long past time for American conservatives to stop platforming and praising Tucker Carlson. If he wants to be a Jew-hating, jihad-loving foreign agent, let him be. He can move to a Muslim paradise and experience the reality of a sharia state. We don't need any more fake news liars here.
