It happened again — another mentally ill individual with gender dysphoria committed a mass shooting. And instead of acknowledging that there is a crisis of transgender-identifying individuals committing violent crimes, the Canadian police are instead focused on using the preferred pronouns of the murderer.
When a person is encouraged to indulge in mental illness — and gender dysphoria is a mental illness — and even to mutilate one’s body in affirmation of the illness, that person is more likely to spiral mentally out of control. It is not a mistake that there have been multiple mass shooters, terrorists, and killers in the last few years who identified as transgender. It is a symptom of a moral and cultural disease. Unfortunately, woke authorities continue to fuel the problem by refusing to acknowledge that transgenderism is a mental illness or that it can drive people to violence.
For example, you have probably heard by now of the heartbreaking tragedy in Canada, where 18-year-old Jesse van Rootselaar murdered eight people and injured more than 25. Despite the fact that Jesse killed his mother and 11-year-old brother, the Associated Press — that bastion of yellow journalism — declared that the motive for the shooting was unclear, and did not acknowledge that Jesse is a biological male who identifies as female. The AP did acknowledge that police had visited Jesse’s home to do mental health checks. This is another instance of coddling a dangerous crazy person.
In fact, all the mainstream outlets used female pronouns for the shooter, and Canadian police are determined to do the same. The policeman who answered press questions took affront at the suggestion that he was hiding Jesse’s real sex, and then immediately confirmed that he would be doing just that.
“We identify the suspect as they chose to be identified in public and in social media,” he pontificated ungrammatically and idiotically. “I can say that Jesse was born as a biological male who, approximately — the information that I have, approximately six years ago, began to transition to female and identified as female, both socially and publicly.” Who cares? No amount of wishing could make Jesse female. It drove him so crazy he ended up massacring a lot of kids before committing suicide.

The Post Millennial’s Andy Ngo reported that police say Jesse began his “gender transition” at the age of 12. All of the child victims are between 11 and 13 years old. Among the slain are Jesse’s brother and his mother, who affirmed his transgenderism. She bought into the lie that if she didn’t encourage her son‘s delusion, he would go crazy. But by encouraging his delusion, she did help ensure that he would go crazy. Parents are often told their children will commit suicide if they do not transition, but Jesse committed suicide and murder after transitioning. And tragically, Jesse’s brother also paid the price.
How many more such shootings do we have to have before Western authorities acknowledge that our method of treatment for mental health is a catastrophic failure, “gender transitions” are child abuse, gender dysphoria is a mental illness, and affirming biological impossibilities has no positive results?
