Women and equalities minister Bridget Phillipson enters the chat
Bridget Phillipson, the brave and stunning occupant of a vital UK office called “women and equalities minister,” has announced she will captain a much-needed “national taskforce aimed at tackling misogyny in society” that will almost certainly culminate in demands for more social media censorship, as these things always do.

The body will aim to address the issue by rooting out damaging attitudes online, in workplaces and within communities.
It will also encourage collaboration between representatives from women’s organisations, academia, local leaders and ministers.
The move comes as part of Labour’s 2024 manifesto pledge to halve violence against women and girls (VAWG), with more announcements also expected to be made later in the week.
The first meeting is expected to take place shortly after conference recess and will focus on young people.
Women and equalities minister Bridget Phillipson will be one of those within the group confronting the problem, alongside Girlguiding chief executive officer Felicity Oswald, West Yorkshire Mayor Tracy Brabin and End Violence Against Women Coalition interim director Janaya Walker.
Ms Phillipson, who has prior experience of working at a women’s refuge before entering Parliament, said: “I’ve seen first-hand the devastating impact on women and girls when harmful attitudes are tolerated and left unchallenged.
“No woman should have to make her world smaller or curb her ambitions out of fear – and making that a reality is everyone’s business.
(You will note that LBC, in the above article, fails to clarify its working definition of what a “woman” is to include the ones with penises — I looked and looked — which doesn’t seem very inclusive.)
Anyway, during an appearance on the BBC promoting her new feminist censorship regime to prevent white men (literal Satan) from saying naughty things on the internet, look how fast she clams up when the news actress interviewing her broaches the concerns of the future rape victims of Piddington.

A group of Piddington women actually wrote a letter to this lady begging her to do something to stop the planned government importation of thousands of male Third World migrants into their village of 350.
Her reply: “We take seriously any concerns that women would raise around that… There is a question as to those people who are here… where do we accommodate those people?... There is a question of fairness.”
She pivots, then, to the “all women are afraid!” talking point: “Sadly, and this is what I’m talking about today in terms of tackling harmful attitudes towards women and tackling misogyny in our society, sadly, yes, women are right to be fearful.”
