Chronicling the ongoing intersectional struggle to liberate women — inclusively defined as the legacy kind and the transgender individuals — from the Patriarchy™, one microaggression at a time.

‘Teaching my five-year-old daughter to be a misandrist’

In a DIY feminist indoctrination program sure to earn the Rosie stamp of approval, a Karen who probably works in human resources with an extremely abrasive vocal fry explains that she only takes her daughter to female doctors and that she’s raising her to be a misandrist — “riiiiight?” [upward Valley Girl inflection]:

I'm teaching my five-year-old daughter to be a misandrist. If you didn't scroll after I said that, then let me tell you why I'm doing this and how. My daughter is going to grow up in a patriarchal society, just like I did as a millennial. And I want her to go into the world with an inflated sense of self. Her doctors, her dentist, any sort of health care provider that we go to, I always make sure it's a woman. I mostly listen to female artists out of preference. And the other day she asked me if men could be singers, too, and I said yes.

Frankly, I don’t see why this lady has to go out of her way to teach her daughter to hate men (although she hints the point might be to turn her against her father); if she sends the girl to public school, she’s going to get the same lesson — plus, she’ll learn the virtue of chopping her breasts off for gender equity.

‘Media coverage of violence against women reaches dismal low,’ claims The Guardian, citing feminist study

Somehow, I doubt that by “violence against women” they mean the rampant migrant groomer gangs raping British schoolgirls with a de facto license from the state — the only kind of violence against women The Guardian refuses to cover.

Via The Guardian (emphasis added):

Media coverage of violence against women and girls and misogynistic harassment is at a “pitiful” low, despite a proliferation of high-profile cases of men abusing women and children, and a rise in AI-assisted violence against women and girls, new research shows.

An analysis of 1.14bn online stories published worldwide between 2017 and 2025 found that the proportion of articles that include terms relating to misogynistic abuse dropped to a “dismal” 1.3% of all global online news in 2025, the lowest level in that period. Coverage peaked at 2.2% in 2018, the height of the #MeToo movement. In Africa, where multiple conflicts have involved extreme levels of sexual violence, coverage sank to a nine-year low of 1.18% in 2024…

To understand the level of misogyny-related coverage in online news, researchers selected 12 misogyny-related terms such as sexual violence, femicide and rape. While levels of coverage that mentioned any of the terms declined, references to “gender ideology” – a contested term dating back to the 1990s and pushed by the global anti-gender equality movement – soared by a factor of 42 between 2020 and 2025. This was largely driven by US media.

In a world full of coverage-worthy news stories — with an ever-expanding volume of them coming through at ever-expanding speed with ever-more existential implications — I would say that 1.3% being devoted to misogyny (like, for example, sexist air conditioning) is actually a win for feminists.

I wonder what the global share of news stories devoted to misandry might be?

Somehow, the study’s authors didn’t seem interested in exploring that question.

Of course, the truth is that the likes of The Guardian won’t be satisfied until 100% of all global news coverage everywhere is devoted to the alleged oppressions of women, trannies, and migrants to the exclusion of everything else, with perhaps a few fear porn pieces about climate change and incoming pandemics sprinkled in to keep the peasants properly terrified.
